DRAWN TO ANIMALS

 My name is Susie Adamson-Jennings - I was born in 1983 in Plymouth. Throughout my childhood and teenage years I moved the length and breadth of the country, from Torquay to Bath - to Arisaig in the highlands of Scotland, and many more in between!! Despite all of this moving I continued to have two loves, animals and drawing and haved devoted much of my time to both....

I started drawing from a very young age (I dont remember how old - I just remember drawing!) with my grandad who is an established artist. We would sit and draw together for many hours and he taught me most of what I know. When we moved further away though we could only draw at holidays so I took to posting many of my pictures to my nan and grandad. As I grew up through school I learnt more about about different media's and techniques. Unfortunetly due to  class timetables at gcse level I was unable to continue with art at school - so I took up graphic design, which really developed my technical drawing. On leaving school though I realised my love was drawing so I went on to college to complete a diploma in fine art.

Now a little older (!) and a few more moves under my belt (!)  I have settled down with my partner and 'our girls' a 2 yr old german shepherd, Storm and a 2yr old border collie, Lightning. We also have several cats, some leopard geckos and a snake! Although I now work full time, unfortunetly not in art I devote a lot of my spare time to my partner and 'family' and also to my art - where I am now getting started on this (!) my own business where I am constantly developing my drawing and my website  - so watch this space.....
